New Mexico Drivers Ed Sign Up Form

The process of starting your Drivers Ed Training can be confusing.
National Driver Training is here to help at every step of the way.
Follow these steps to start your training.

Step 1

Complete the sign up form below.

Our team will monitor the application process and approval with the New Mexico Department of Transportation.


Step 2

After you complete this sign up form, use our system to generate your application to the Transportation Safety Center.

Students taking home-study Drivers Education in New Mexico must be approved by the Transportation Safety Center of the University of New Mexico.

*Students may begin National Driver Training's program AFTER receiving approval from the New Mexico DOT through the Transportation Safety Center.

Once the student is approved, we will send you an email to complete your enrollment.


Step 3

Once your enrollment is complete, we will provide you with the materials to begin your course.

Homeschool
  • Student is homeschooled in ALL subjects by the Parent/Guardian
  • *Online-Schooling is not recognized as Homeschool
Condition 2
Inability to attend in-person driver education because...

  • Distance
  • Academic Activities
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Employment
  • Extenuating Circumstances

The student named above is home-schooled in ALL subjects.

In order for a student to be approved under this condition you must provide verification that you have notified and registered with the New Mexico Public Educaion Department (NMPED) your intent to home school this student for the current school year.

**Please Note: Online schools are not considered homeschooled**
