Wyoming Continuing Driver Education Courses

Wyoming Continuing Education is designed for licensed drivers seeking to improve their skills and knowledge. This program also includes benefits such as national recognition by insurance companies for discounts on insurance rates. This program also qualifies as a driving record point-reduction program in several states (excluding Virginia).

Students should confirm with their insurance providers how many hours of education are required for discounts and must complete the course while their license remains valid. Additionally, students are responsible for maintaining a record of their completed course for five years.

Wyoming Teen Supplemental Driver Education Courses

Wyoming Teen Supplemental Driver Education is designed for teens who would like additional information on the the best practices when driving. Our courses are recognized by insurance agencies across the nation. So, if your insurance company offers driver education discounts, you can use the certificate from our course as proof of completion.

What are the age requirements to get a permit in Wyoming?

In Wyoming, individuals aged 15 to 16 can apply for a regular learner's permit to begin learning how to drive. This permit allows them to operate a motor vehicle when accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 18 years old and occupies the front passenger seat.

How do you get your permit in Wyoming?

To obtain the permit, applicants must appear in person at a local driver exam office, pass a written exam and vision screening, and present the required documents. For minors under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the application.

How long must you hold a permit in Wyoming?

The learner's permit is valid for one year and can be renewed as needed; however, it must be held for at least 10 days before applying for full driving privileges.

Who can you drive with when you hold a Wyoming permit?

While holding a learner's permit, teens must always be accompanied by a licensed adult who is at least 18 years old and seated in the front passenger seat. This ensures that young drivers receive proper supervision and guidance while gaining experience on the road.

When can a teen earn their license in Wyoming?

Teens are eligible to earn a graduated driver license, referred to in Wyoming law as an "intermediate permit," after meeting the necessary requirements and holding the learner's permit for the specified duration.
